Connect Stripe to Workspace when you want customers to pay online through your Client Galleries, Print Shop or invoices. Stripe processes the payment and pays your available balance into your nominated bank account.
You can connect an existing Stripe account or create one during the connection process. Setting it up from Workspace is the simplest option because Stripe guides you through the current requirements for your country and business.
Connect Stripe to Workspace
- Log in to Workspace.
- Open Settings.
- Select Shopping Cart Settings.
- Find the Stripe section and click Connect to Stripe.
Stripe will open a secure form. The information you enter into this form is collected by Stripe rather than entered into Workspace.
If you already have a Stripe account
Select the Sign in option in the Stripe form and use the email address associated with your Stripe account. Stripe may ask you to complete an authentication step.
If your email address is associated with more than one Stripe account, choose the correct business account to connect to Workspace.
If you need to create a Stripe account
Continue through the Stripe form and provide the information requested. The exact requirements depend on your country, business structure and account status, but Stripe may ask for:
- your business or trading name and contact details;
- your business type and registration or tax information;
- details about what your business sells;
- identity details for the business owner or representative;
- a bank account for payouts; and
- authentication and account-security information.
Complete every requirement shown by Stripe and authorise the connection to Queensberry Workspace. Stripe may request further verification before payments or payouts are fully enabled.
Confirm that Stripe is active
Return to Settings > Shopping Cart Settings. Workspace will show whether Stripe is connected and active. Once Stripe has enabled charges, Workspace can make card payments available through the relevant sales experiences.
If the connected account is incomplete or inactive, follow the link provided by Workspace to finish the outstanding Stripe requirements.
Choose how self-fulfilled orders are paid
If you offer products that you fulfil yourself, review the Self Fulfilment Orders setting in Shopping Cart Settings. You can choose to:
- use your connected Stripe account to collect the payment; or
- contact the customer and arrange payment yourself.
Digital-download payments are handled through the connected Stripe account when those products are offered.
Set up Stripe payouts
In Stripe, add and verify the bank account that should receive your payouts. Review the payout schedule available for your account. Depending on your country and account, Stripe may offer daily, weekly, monthly or manual payouts.
The payout schedule determines when Stripe sends available funds to your bank. It does not remove Stripe’s settlement period, so a successful customer payment may not be available for payout immediately.
See Stripe’s payout documentation for current timing and country-specific availability.
How Workspace sales appear in Stripe
When a customer pays through Workspace, the payment is processed against your connected Stripe account. The proceeds are recorded in your Stripe balance after the applicable Workspace application fee and Stripe processing fees have been deducted.
For a Queensberry-fulfilled order, the Workspace application fee represents the amount charged for the order’s cost of sale, including the applicable Queensberry products, fulfilment, shipping and tax components. You can review the payment, fees and available balance in Stripe.
You are responsible for refunds, disputes and chargebacks associated with your Stripe account, including costs already incurred if products have entered production or been supplied.
Complete your Workspace sales settings
Connecting Stripe is one part of preparing to sell. Also review your price lists, shipping, currency, tax and fulfilment settings in Workspace before accepting orders.
If you want to offer Afterpay through your connected Stripe account, see How to enable Afterpay in Client Galleries and Print Shop.
